Milwaukee chimneys work hard. Winter after winter, water soaks into the brick and mortar, freezes, expands, and breaks it apart a little more each year. By the time most homeowners call, the damage is visible: crumbling mortar, loose or flaking brick, a cracked crown, or rust stains running down the side.
We handle the full range of chimney repair, from small fixes to complete rebuilds.
What we repair
- Cracked or crumbling crowns. The concrete cap on top is your chimney's first defense against water. When it cracks, water pours in. We seal or recast it.
- Spalling and loose brick. When brick faces flake off or pop loose, we replace and re-set them with matched brick and mortar.
- Failed flashing. The metal seal where the chimney meets the roof is a common leak point. We reseal or replace it.
- Partial and full rebuilds. When the brick above the roofline is too far gone to patch, we take it down and rebuild it properly.
Why not wait
Chimney damage only moves one direction: worse. A small crown crack this fall becomes an interior leak by spring and a rebuild the year after. Catching it early is almost always the cheaper path.
What it costs
Small mortar and sealing work runs a few hundred dollars. A partial rebuild above the roofline is more, and a full rebuild more still. We give you a written estimate after we see the chimney, with photos, so you know the price before anything starts.
